Yes, don't know why i'm not surprised. what surprised me was my father's hope that the happening's in Kenya would inspire the judiciary to really consider the less-travelled path ("Nigerians remember vividly the problems in Liberia, Sierra–Leone and Ivory Coast and dread a re-run in their own country.") I was shocked at his unusual take on the situation and my "unusual" lack of (even an inkling) of hope that things would turn out differently than this. C'est fini ca. Now that legitimacy can no longer be officially called into question, maybe Baba Rule of Law will get up and do something.
Every day I just pray that whoever is in power makes things change for the better.Here's hoping that Yar'adua does this.
